We maintained our trend of cheese pizzas tonight, comparing apples to pizzas or something like that.
The Upper Crust I am most familiar with has one location and is on the other side of the country. It is also gooey, messy, and delicious. This local chain leaves the gooey and messy behind while resembling other cheesey southwestern specialties I am very familiar with. Thin crispy crust and melted cheese? Cheese crisp. Folded in half? Quesadilla. There was a touch of sauce and huge tasty chunks of tomato exploding through the cheese. The cheese pizza was good on its own and a solid base for any toppings.
I cannot speak to the atmosphere of the Harvard Square location other than that, even on a rainy day, it was busy. My mission was to retrieve the pizza and get out. Despite my near death experience slipping on Upper Crust’s rain dampened floor (they should be monitoring that) the pizza escaped unharmed. I cannot say the same for my knee.
