Mozz-tastic
$$

My favorite parts of visiting La Hacienda are the soft, fresh slices of Italian bread and the tasty side salads that are a prelude to any of my meals.  They are a hard act to follow, but the pizza is up to the challenge.

I have spoken before of my lack of pizza control.  I should also mention (or maybe shouldn’t) that I tend to eat with a speed that should be reserved for a last meal that has some sort of torturous time limit element.  This makes the fresh cheese an automatic choking hazard.  Still, it is more due to a favorable pizza characteristic and a personal shortcoming.  The worst pizza sin is when the cheese slides off if you look at it the wrong way.  Just the opposite is true here.  The fresh mozzarella cheese stays put and tastes great.  The sauce to cheese ratio is as it should be, favoring the cheese.  The crust tastes fresh from a seasoned oven, charred but not burned.

The service is always friendly and quick no matter what the order.  I can also vouch for their lasagna, but more detail will need to wait until Lasagna Wednesday and a subsequent weight gain come to fruition.
